Garmin Nuvi 260 GPS Review email from Hernandez:

garmin nuvi 260 review When I first lifted my Nuvi 260 out of the shipping box, my first thoughts were, “This looks like the Blackberry of the gps world.” And after two month of use of this gps system, its performance continues to support that statement. The high sensitivity satellite receiver allows my Nuvi 260 to even pick up signals from within my 3 story house! After a satellite lock-on, it immediately detected where I was and I was on my way. I have tested my Nuvi on local and foreign destinations, and I have yet to locate a place that my Nuvi 260 doesn’t have. My wife likes to venture out into malls that she has only heard of, and my Nuvi helps ensure that she gets to her destination safely, and then return home safely. And if I decided to go on a camping trip with my buddies, the Nuvi even has accurate maps of upstate Virginia! Not to mention I would never be left without gas, food, or shelter using my Nuvi’s POI locater feature, which helps locate hotels, gas stations, atms, and restaurants on the map. Although this gps lacks advanced features like mp3 playback and FM transmitters, it will get you to your destination on time, and safely.

Garmin’s Nüvi 650 Review emailed by Larry:

garmin nuvi 650 review My job as a journalist often requires me to cross the border and travel to some major Canadian cities in order to write my stories, and after the second time I got lost in Canada I decided that buying a gps would, in the end run, save me both time and money. After getting my Nuvi 650, my life has dramatically changed. I recently have been promoted and my salary went up by almost 15%! This was due to my finishing my stories with such speed and efficiency. The Nuvi 650 comes preloaded with maps for the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, and some options such as, a super-bright 4.3″ widescreen display for improved map viewing, POI lookup and MP3/audio book playback. The maps are so detailed that as I was driving around the airport to get to my terminal, even the side back roads and gates were labeled. Even as I walked INTO the airport I still had a satellite signal! And as if its accuracy on the road wasn’t good enough, it even comes with mp3 playback which enables you to listen to your favorite songs while waiting for your food or plane boarding time. My favorite feature is the jpeg viewer, and since I am always on the move I hardly get time to spend with my family and my Garmin Nuvi 650 allows me to carry my wife and daughter in my pocket with me all the time.

Garmin Nuvi 250W GPS Review email from Jon:

garmin nuvi 250w review This gps is my second one, and I simply love it. The physical slimness along with the smallness of it makes it a great portable gps system and the map database it contains is extensive and detailed. The crystal clear 4.3” lcd screen gives bright and clear images of maps and photos using the jpeg viewer feature. The layout of the map is simple and detailed at the same time, the street names are labeled clearly with large font, remaining miles counter shown, and warns you of upcoming turns. The map database is also astonishingly accurate and up-to-date; it even has the small family owned restaurants showing up when I search for restaurants using the POI filter options! What I wanted was a bare minimum of a gps but the Nuvi 250W gives you a great gps system for the bare minimum price. Also I love the portability of the gps unit, I am able to swap it in between my cars or even just stick it in my pocket and put it on walking mode. All in all this is a very reliable gps unit and is crammed full of information and special features for the price you pay!

Garmin Nuvi 250 GPS Review email from Michelle:

garmin nuvi 250 review Although my Dad has a hard time admitting it, he is a horrible trip planner. For instance, last year when we were supposed go to the beaches of Long Island, we somehow ended up in New Jersey without him knowing how he got there. Therefore, in order to preserve his dignity, and my time, my sister and I decided to buy him a gps device for his birthday. While we were shopping for a gps device, we knew that we had to pick one that had a simple layout, lest our father just confuse himself more, it had to be fairly cheap (we don’t have jobs) and using this information we picked out the Nuvi 250. The Garmin Nuvi 250 on average cost around 250$, had a widescreen touch screen, had turn by turn voice navigation, and even has a jpeg viewer to view photos with. Also, more detailed maps can be downloaded, loaded on to a SD memory card, and read by the Nuvi 250 unit. All in all it was a solid machine with a slim and small physical form, reliable map database, all for under 300$. Now this coming summer we can rest at ease and fall asleep in the car without having to worry about waking up to us roaming Michigan, when were supposed to go to Universal Studios.

Garmin’s Nüvi 750 Review emailed by Meera:

garmin nuvi 750 review I help run my family’s catering business by delivering ordered platters to their proper destinations, but once our business grew last year and expanded its reach to the two neighboring towns, I felt myself out of my league. I would often deliver dishes 30 minutes late due to my lack of knowledge of the roads in the town. Therefore, I decided to buy a Nuvi 750 from Garmin to help me deliver the dishes faster and more efficiently. At first I thought that it might actually slow me down further due to the possibility of the extremely complex layout of the gps unit, but nothing could be further from the truth. The menu layout is very simplistic and the touchscreen feature makes it even simpler to use. In fact, within the first 20 minutes of opening the package, I had locked onto a satellite, my Nuvi had detected where we were, and I was on my way to make my first delivery. Two of the most helpful features for me were the turn by turn voice guidance feature which had voice prompts tell me which direction to turn, and what the street name was. This was especially useful because I didn’t have to even look up at the gps screen in order to read the street name! The second and absolutely life saving feature was the multi-destination route planner, which allowed you to input multiple destinations (all the addresses I had to deliver to) and the Nuvi will find the fastest and most efficient route for you to take to reach all of the destinations. With my Nuvi 750, I can now make 8 deliveries at once, whereas before I was doing one delivery at a time, which was an extremely grueling process. Thank you so much Garmin!

Garmin Nuvi 270 GPS Review email from Alfonso:

garmin nuvi 270 review I was planning to take my wife and only daughter to go on a month long road trip as a celebration event for my promotion at work. We had a basic plan going, we would start from our home in upstate New York, travel across the country to California, spend two weeks there, and then come back to our home. However, this was easier said than done because I have a reputation as a prideful father who can’t bring himself to ask for directions when he gets lost. Therefore, a month before our trip I did some research and bought the Garmin Nuvi 270 due to its feature packed advantage, its slim design, and its economically efficient price. I first tried out my new Nuvi on a short distance golfing expedition with my buddies to a nearby town, and boy was it a breeze. Once we got into the car I entered our destination and turned on the turn by turn voice guidance feature and my gps unit was even telling me when to turn! I didn’t have to look up to see if the turn was coming either! On our way back from golfing, we were all starving and couldn’t wait until we got home, so I searched for nearby restaurants using the Nuvi’s POI filter option for restaurants. Sure enough all the nearby restaurants came up as dots on the map and we decided to go to a relatively new Cuban restaurant that had opened up last year but none of us had gone to. The food was great and I didn’t have to worry about making sure that I knew the way back because I knew that my Nuvi 270 would get me home safely. PS. The month long road trip was the BLAST of my life!

Garmin Nuvi 680 GPS Review email from Tom:

garmin nuvi 680 review I don’t know why, but ever since 5 years ago, I was known as the “tech boy” of my group. For some odd reason, I loved to have the most advanced and complicated gadgets surrounding me. I was the first person to have a PSP, a Nintendo DS, a RZR, Blackberry, Bluetooth wireless headset, etc. Therefore, when I saw the Garmin Nuvi 680 I knew that I simply must have it! The small design with the big touch screen and vast features yearned to be glorified in my hands. The physical dimensions were so small that I could fit it in my breast pocket if I wanted to, 4.9 x 2.9 x 0.9 inches. Furthermore, the nuvi 680 uses a high sensitivity gps receiver in order for it to lock on to satellites with speed and accuracy. Other options such as a jpeg viewer to utilize the bright, 4.3” LCD TFT touch-screen, wide-screen display and a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels with 64,000 colors means that you can always view your loved ones with a crystal clear picture of them. The wireless Bluetooth connectivity to my phone also means that if a call comes in while I am driving, all I have to do it tap my gps unit’s screen once in order for me to accept the call. All these features packed into such a small frame make this gps unit one of a kind in both looks and performance. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone, whether they need it to become more efficient at work, or if you just plain want a good gps unit jam packed with features!

Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS Review email from Cam:

garmin nuvi 350 review I am a self employed taxi driver, and when I borrowed my friend’s gps unit for a month while he was on vacation, my profits went through the roof! The gps unit allowed me to just punch in the destination and start driving instantly, where as before, I was struggling to multi task by driving and trying to find the best route to the destination using a paper map. You could imagine my dismay when my friend returned from his vacation and I had to return the gps unit back to him. By the end of the week, I decided to buy my own gps unit so that I could boost my efficiency during the job and off the job. After much debate, I chose the Garmin Nuvi 350 as the gps I would buy due to its entry level price, but its wide array of features. The most useful feature that I simply enjoy using is the turn by turn voice guidance system. Unlike the Nuvi 200s line, my Nuvi 350 actually says the street name so I don’t have to look up at ALL. With the previous ones, even though it announced the turn, if you needed to know what street you were turning on you had to look up at the screen to see the street name. This new updated version that the Nuvi 350 uses, eliminates that need altogether. Throw in the extremely detailed map database, the jpeg viewer feature, calculator, currency converter, and much more, and you have yourself an extremely economic deal for a gps system. The fact that this baby looks so sexy due to how thin it is and its super bright and large lcd screen and you will fall in love with it instantly too!

Garmin’s Nüvi 660 Review emailed by Amy:

garmin nuvi 660 review The Garmin Nuvi 660 was one of the best buys of my life. Previous to this I have had a Nuvi 350 and a TomTom, both of which cannot even begin to compare to the Nuvi 660. The efficiency of the size of the gps unit along with the performance it packs into the small frame is ideal. The screen isn’t small enough so that you have to lean forward and squint to see the text, but it also isn’t big enough to obscure your vision while driving. Furthermore, the garmin Nuvi 660 comes with the most recent highly detailed City Navigator NT maps, and pairing this with a high sensitivity satellite receiver, ensures that you remain on course and get to your destination as fast as possible. The voice prompts are loud, clear, and even announce the name of the street at which you are turning. This ensures minimal distraction while you are driving, which in turn boosts the safety factor of this gps unit. Throw in other features such as a mp3 playback option, POI look up, jpeg viewer, calculator, currency converter, and much more, and you have yourself a multi-tasking beast. The layout of the menu is so simple that I was able to have it up and running within the first 15 minutes of opening the package. The touchscreen works without flaw and remains clearly visible, in sunlight and in the dark. This is an excellently designed gps unit and I would have gladly paid 200$ more to have this gps!

Garmin Nuvi 370 GPS Review email from Elizabeth:

garmin nuvi 370 review I recently bought a new gps system to help me navigate my way to my in-laws house which is located in a small town in Vermont. At first I thought that I could use a plain old paper map with MapQuest to get to my destination, but when I tried to locate the town I would be traveling to, I couldn’t find it! Deciding that the new gps system would come into use again later, and that it might even save some time commuting to my various lecture halls, I bought the Garmin Nuvi 370 PTA. When Thanksgiving came around I had already become comfortable in using the Nuvi 370 and so I just turned it on, let it acquire satellites, and punched in the address. Sure enough, although the area was totally foreign to me, I just followed the Nuvi’s directions and I got to my in-laws’ house an hour earlier than I anticipated. After the dinner, I wanted to go Thanksgiving shopping late at night, and my in-laws were worried that I would get lost, but when I told them my gps system could handle my directions they let me go. The next morning the first thing they saw was my new Coach handbag and my in-law shrieked, “There is a Coach store in our town?!” Then on the way back I let my gps system find me a delectable restaurant to eat at and a hotel to stay a night in (it started snowing). Overall, I am very pleased that I purchased this unit and I would recommend it to anyone!

Garmin’s Nüvi 360 Review emailed by Jennifer:

garmin nuvi 360 review For Father’s Day last year, I bought my Dad a Nuvi 360 because he would always get hopelessly lost “adventuring” with his friends to a new golf course or kayaking spot. And since I am still only 18, the gps unit that I had to pick out couldn’t be too expensive, but at the same time had to have very accurate maps and a good satellite receiver. Therefore, when I saw the Garmin Nuvi 360 I instantly knew that this was just the right gps for my Dad. Two months later, my Dad has been using the gps system for a month and a half already and he simply loves it. All he has to do is look up the exact address of the golf range or kayaking spot in question, punch it into the Nuvi, and the Nuvi does the rest of the work for him! So far my father has took the Nuvi on 3 golfing “expeditions” and one kayaking adventure, and supposedly the Nuvi had the most detailed maps of the areas that my Dad wanted to go to. It even had local gas stations, hotels, restaurants, and atms that he could search for using the map POI feature. Using this feature, even if my Dad doesn’t know the area where he is in, he can just bring up the menu and search for restaurants if he is hungry and it will show all the nearby restaurants. This was a great present for my Dad and I am planning to buy one for my mom too!

Garmin’s Nüvi 200 Review emailed by Ora:

garmin nuvi 200 review When I first decided that I would be going out of state for college, and with a car, the first thing I did was decide to get a gps system. I’m a pretty shy girl and I never was good at asking for help if I was lost, in my confusion from being lost and my shyness I would just end up getting more lost. The Nuvi 200 was my first gps and I just simply love it. On the weekends I like to go to the neighboring towns and their stores to shop for clothing and food, and my Nuvi 200 ensures that I get there safely and without getting lost. The built in store locater and calculator come in handy when I arrive in the town shopping center and I have to find a certain store. Furthermore, since I live out of state, I often have to drive to nearby towns to buy food and other general supplies, and with my Nuvi 200, I am able to locate the stores with ease and make my way back to campus without getting lost. And to think that my Nuvi 200 cost under 300$ with additional features like the Garmin anti-theft feature and the jpeg viewer which enables users to view photos on their Nuvi 200. My Nuvi 200 has yet to give me a set of wrong directions, malfunction, or have inaccurate maps. Hooray for my Nuvi 200!

Garmin Nuvi 200W GPS Review email from Ryan:

garmin nuvi 200w review I recently decided that I needed a gps system to help me navigate my way through unknown areas, and after careful debate I chose the Garmin Nuvi 200W Widescreen Automotive GPS Navigation System. I have been using the Nuvi 200W for about a month without any major problems. The map interface is simplistic, but helpful, while the screen is bright (even in sunlight and in dark conditions), and the actual unit is very slim, fitting on my windshield without obstructing my vision. Added options such as an SD memory slot, a jpeg viewer, a calculator, anti-theft features, and the ability to create customized points on the map all make the Nuvi 200W a good buy. Throw in the fact that it comes with up to date maps, a high-sensitivity WAAS-enabled GPS receiver, and costs around 250$, this is indeed a GREAT BUY. I have only one bad thing to say about the 200W and that is the turn by turn voice guidance system, which during long trips tends to be a bit too loud and irritating. However, there is the option to turn that off so it doesn’t bother me too much anymore.

Garmin Nuvi 670 GPS Review email from Sharron:

garmin nuvi 670 review I currently work at a private shuttle business where our clients are either people willing to pay the extra buck to get to their destination faster, or rich clients who wish to receive fast service. Either way, in order for our clients to be satisfied, we must get them to their destination as fast as possible and safely. Therefore, as the holiday season traffic started growing, I decided to buy a Garmin Nuvi 670 travel assistant. I have been using it for two weeks now and I could not be happier with its performance! The built-in, high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver ensures that you acquire satellites with ease and also ensure that you won’t lose connections in less than ideal conditions, for example, rain. The most important feature for me though is the fact that you can avoid tie-ups and steer clear of traffic with the Garmin Nuvi 670’s integrated FM TMC traffic receiver, which allows you to receive alerts about road construction and traffic problems that lie ahead on your route. After you find out about problematic delays, simply touch the Nuvi’s screen to view traffic details or change your route so you can detour around the problematic area. And of course the wireless Bluetooth connectivity to my phone helps me avoid getting tickets from the cops, plus it makes me look more professional!

Garmin Nuvi 660 Review by Leenie:

garmin nuvi 660 gps review Previous to the Nuvi 660, I had owned a TomTom navigation system, and glad to say, I felt that the Garmin Nuvi 660 was on a whole different level than the TomTom. The first difference I noticed was that the display of the Nuvi 660 was a lot sharper and clearer than the TomTom. Furthermore, the Nuvi 660 uses a high sensitivity transmitter, and I am able to connect to a satellite even when I am inside my house! Many options that come in handy when you’re on the go is the wireless FM audio transmission via the Nuvi 660’s wireless FM transmitter. Tune your car’s radio to the appropriate station and you’ll hear all the Nuvi’s audio, including voice prompts, MP3s, audio books, and more, directly through your vehicle’s stereo system. This helps when you avoid all the traffic jams by using your Nuvi 660 to detect them, and then using it to find the quickest detour to your job! Other tools such as the jpeg viewer, the mp3 playback feature, currency converter, and the 6 MILLION POIs are sure to keep you well guided and well informed while in your car and on foot.

Garmin Nuvi 360 Review from Grace:

garmin nuvi 360 gps review I have three children and I wanted a gps system that supported Bluetooth wireless capabilities so that I could make hands free phone calls, but the gps system couldn’t be too expensive either. Therefore, when I saw the Garmin Nuvi 360 and the list of features it had along with other reviews which verified the accuracy of the gps system, I knew that is was the gps system for me. I have gone on two trips with my children and the map database is extremely detailed with lots of POIs in case they are needed. Furthermore, my Blackberry hooks up perfectly to my Nuvi 360 and one cool option is that I can bring up a map of POIs and if I want to call one of them I just tap the POI’s phone number and my phone automatically starts dialing the number I just tapped. As for normal phone conversations, if there is an incoming phone call then all I have to do is tap the screen of my Nuvi once and start talking normally. All in all this is a perfect gps system for me, my family, and my business.

Garmin Nuvi 350 Review from Chanel:

Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS review I have been using my Nuvi 350 for about two months now and I have nothing bad to say about it at all. I have been using this model without any problems at all to navigate around and outside my town. The map database is excellent and even the small private family owned restaurants show up on the gps! The screen somehow manages to stay readable eve in direct sunlight, and recalculations in case of straying off route only take mere seconds to do. It has a SD memory card slot to read European maps and language guides off of, along with storing photos to be viewed using the garmin Nuvi 350’s jpeg view special feature. While driving, I especially like to use the turn by turn voice guidance feature which allows me to drive without constantly looking at the gps screen to verify that I am turning when I am supposed to. And Garmin throws in the Garmin anti-theft lock, calculator, currency converter, and measurement converter to make it an even better deal! This gps system is definitely worth the money, and it will save you countless hours of time and stress.

Garmin Nuvi 370 Reviews from Eunice:

garmin nuvi 370 gps review I am severely lacking in the electronics field, and I am so lost even with my computer at times, but when I got my hands on my Garmin Nuvi 370 GPS, I felt right at home! Within two days I knew how to operate the machine like a pro. I only bought this machine out of total necessity of it, my husband’s job forced us to move to New York City, and I grew up in a small town setting in North Carolina! We currently live on the outskirts of the city and whenever I take the car or subway into the city to do some shopping or just look around, I always take my Nuvi 370 with me. If I want to locate the nearest Whole Foods or any other store, I just punch it into the Nuvi and it finds the nearest on for me with directions! Also I can use the jpeg viewer to view photos on the bright Nuvi screen! Once when I was in the city and I had my Nuvi turned off I somehow got lost, and instead of panicking, I just took out my Nuvi, turned it on, and I was on my way back home! The Nuvi only takes about a minute to acquire a satellite and once it is done doing that, it instantly finds your location and calculates the fastest route to your destination in seconds! I am very pleased with my Nuvi and I don’t even regret buying one.

Garmin Nuvi 260 Reviews from Seamus:

garmin nuvi 260 gps review My first impression of my Nuvi 260 as I took it out of the shipping box was that it was a splendidly designed gps system that had managed to pack in all the goodies into one damn beautiful case. The 3.5” bright lcd looked a lot bigger than I thought it would due to the lack of buttons surrounding the screen as with other models. When I first powered it on, I was amazed at the brightness and clarity of the image I was seeing, and since the Nuvi 260 was built using a high-sensitivity WAAS-enabled GPS receiver for extreme accuracy, it was able to lock unto a satellite from in my house! I’ve heard stories of gps systems being unable to lock unto the unit when it was outside with no obstructions, but my Nuvi worked perfectly! A week later, I gathered my two best buddies and we went on a golfing trip to Vermont, and the trip went without a hitch! After the golfing trip, we decided to stop by and try some new type of food at a totally new restaurant, and my friends were amazed when I just detached my Nuvi 260, put it into walking mode, and searched for a restaurant via POI on the map (point of interest). Sure enough a list of restaurants came up and we decided on a restaurant and we walked to it and had a great dinner! The Nuvi 260 was a great buy for me and I am sure that it will be for you too!

Garmin Nuvi 670 Reviews from Raul:

garmin nuvi 670 gps review I currently run my own landscaping business, and when business started to boom during early spring last year, I decided that spending some buck on a good gps system would save me time and money in the long run. Therefore, after looking around and doing extensive comparison’s, I decided to buy the Garmin Nuvi 670 and what a choice it has been! Using the Nuvi 670 was a breeze from the start, I was using it within the hour of receiving it and I could not believe how accurate that the maps were. Even the small local stores are clearly labeled on the map! An especially useful feature of the Nuvi 670 is the fact that you can be alerted about construction projects which lie on your route, and even just plain old normal traffic jams! This especially helps because I have a huge array of customers that expect me to be there at a certain time and finish the job with satisfactory results before certain times of the day. And the Nuvi 670 does just that, it gets me to my job on time and gets me back home safely. I even use it on family outings and it works just fine, it even supplies me with a huge list of hotels, restaurants, and atms!

Garmin Nuvi 650 Reviews from Hannah:

garmin nuvi 650 gps review When my father announced that he would be making an inter-continental journey in his car, I instantly knew that I would be going gps shopping, for my father had a horrible sense of direction and would probably drive in circles and end up back home in a week. The gps system that I would buy would have to be simple to use, economic, and somewhat small due to the fact that my father’s car isn’t too big. After much comparison, I decided to buy two Garmin Nuvi 650s, one for my car and one for my father’s. After the two systems arrived, I had my father’s system installed in his car and within 15 minutes, my father was at complete ease using his new Nuvi 650 travel assistant. Some features such as the 6 MILLION POIs, light and slim design, and nearly 4+ hours of battery life would mean that my father would never have a lack of landmarks, hotels, restaurants, and atms to use. Furthermore, since the unit is so portable, my father could take it into his hotel room with him and designate the route he wants to take the next day and save the route on his gps system for use the next day! Even with my daily use of it, my Nuvi 650 saves me time and stress from daily traffic jams, and I can even listen to music during my job!

Garmin Nuvi 270 Reviews from Jose:

garmin nuvi 270 gps review I recently bought my Nuvi 270 due to the fact that it supports both North American and European maps. When I got my Garmin Nuvi 270, I tested it out in the local routes and one local trip to a new restaurant that just opened up. The performance was flawless and the accuracy and clarity of the map image that was being shown on the gps system’s screen was flawless! The bright screen clearly illuminated the icon for my vehicle along with a magenta roadway for the path that I was to take. Roadways were clearly labeled in big bold letters at the top of the screen and the turn by turn voice guidance helped notify me when a turn was coming up and when I was actually supposed to turn. When I took the Nuvi 270 for a spin in Paris, France the trip was a breeze. The gps flawlessly worked from out of the car rental station and got us safely to our hotel on the first try. The next day we were supposed to sight see and walk around, so I just whipped out the Nuvi 270 and looked up Points of Interest on the map and what do you know, a list of hotels, restaurants, and famous sight-seeing places popped up! The fact that it is so slim and light helps you forget that your carrying it too! This is an excellent gps device and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an entry level gps system.

Garmin Nuvi 680 Reviews from Herman:

garmin nuvi 680 gps review My Nuvi 680 has probably saved my job and my marriage. I was always late for work due to unexpected traffic jams, and late deliveries. My wife was mad that I had too much pride to ask the gas attendant for directions. With the Garmin Nuvi 680 I was able to eliminate both problems with one stone and it even serves as my personal entertainment center! With MSN direct I am able to check up on the Traffic and Weather updates, and it has never failed me once. In fact, once, there was an unexpected accident on the turnpike, which is the fastest route to anywhere in my town, and when I called my friend to tell him this, he replied with “No way, your gps system must be haywire. There is no way that the turnpike could be closed.” He walked in 2 hours late to work, all flustered and muttering dire threats under his breath. Furthermore, during family outings, my wife could not be more pleased when we arrive at our camping destinations ahead of expected time. Other features such as a jpeg viewer, mp3 player, calculator, and much more all help the Nuvi 680 become one of the most treasured possessions of my life. It truly is a life saver!

Garmin Nuvi 200 Review from Daniel:

garmin nuvi 200 gps review My son was heading off to college in the mid-western part of the United States, where everything isn’t clearly labeled with huge names and arrows like in the cities, so I went shopping for a gps system that he could carry around with him in his car to help him not get lost. There were many factors that this special Garmin Nuvi 200 system had to meet and some are, a small form factor case for easy installation and swapping (in case the boys go on a road trip and he doesn’t take his car), accurate map database, economically efficient, and somewhat “non-geeky” looking. The first thing I did was filter my search results for gps systems by price (250$ range) and that cut down the huge list to just a handful of gps models.

The Garmin Nuvi 200 Pocket Vehicle GPS Navigator caught my eye due to its slim design, large bright screen, big list of special features, and also obviously the price. The Garmin Nuvi 200 Pocket Vehicle GPS Navigator weighs only 5.2 ounces and is slim, so there was no question of it being portable or not, and the gps system also had a 5 hour battery life (we all know how forgetful our children can be, especially when it comes to recharging their gadgets and walking the dog). Throw in the anti-theft feature, a jpeg viewer, and a calculator, I was taking out my credit card before the payment page loaded. This was 2 months ago, and my son has called me once already to thank me for the gps system which saved him from making the choice between getting to his destination, and a wasted 3 hour drive the wrong way.

Garmin Nuvi 750 Reviews from Ivanov:

garmin nuvi 750 gps review I am a chef at my own privately run restaurant, and we specialize in only the freshest and most varied types of food. Therefore, you can only imagine the hectic driving about that I do every morning to buy groceries and ingredients for the day’s “Chef Special.” Thus, I decided to buy a gps system to help me out navigate the cities varied grocery stores. After I bought the Garmin Nuvi 750, I don’t know how I managed to live life without it! With the multi-destination route planner, I am able to plot all of the grocery stores I need to visit on that day, and my Nuvi 750 organizes my route so that I am able to visit all the stores with the least amount of time wasted! And with features such as mp3 playback, jpeg viewer, calculator, 6 MILLION POIs, and a 4+ hour battery life, I am able to enjoy my shopping experience as well as just using my Nuvi 750 as a personal media device. In addition, the screen is extra large and bright and I am able to read the screen perfectly well even in direct sunlight! The turn by turn voice guidance option is also helpful when I want to just drive or walk without having to look at it, once my turn approaches it tells me so and I just turn. Its slim design also helps you forget that you are carrying it if you happen to be doing so. This gps system is one of the best investments of my life and it will be one for you too!

Garmin Nuvi 250W Reviews from Sandra:

garmin nuvi 250W gps review My mother is a first generation immigrant from Agentina, and when we moved into a new town, she only knew how to drive to the grocery store and back. In order for her to drive to new places and explore the new town and see new sights, my wife and I decided to buy her a gps device. This device must be simple, not have too many complicated buttons, small, and have clear directions/arrows. My mother doesn’t speak English very well so when I heard that the Garmin Nuvi 250 had language support, I pounced on my computer and looked up the Nuvi 250. Indeed, the Nuvi 250 had multi language support, Spanish being included, and it even came with turn by turn directions in Spanish. If that wasn’t enough to persuade me to by the Nuvi 250 GPS, the fact that it was slim, was a widescreen touchscreen (no buttons), and cost under 300$ sealed the deal for me. When my mother first got the gps system set up in her car she was skeptical that she could use such a “complicated device,” but now she travels to her bridge and bingo games every Thursday and Sunday without any problems at all.

Garmin Nuvi 200W review from GPSdude:

When I bought my new car, I decided it was time to upgrade from the dingy paper map in my glove compartment and I went gps shopping. Since I would only be using the gps for road navigation and not for music or surgical procedures, I wanted a simple but trustworthy gps system under 300$. While shopping the Garmin Nuvi 200W Widescreen Automotive GPS Navigation System stood out for its large and bright 4.3” widescreen display, and for its slim design. Most other gps systems tend to boast about its additional features but tend to be bulky and a bit more pricey. The Nuvi 200W may lack features that other ones include, but the map database is solid, it has turn by turn voice guidance, and it comes in a package under 300$. I have been using the Nuvi 200W for about three weeks now, and it has always got me to my destination on time without making a single mistake. It really indeed gives its bang for its buck.

The new Garmin Nuvi 750 is the core unit of the 700 series, and will more then likely, if history repeats itself, be the most popular option for the average North American consumer.

Missing on the Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS system is Blue Tooth hands free calling feature as well as included traffic receiver that are both found on the 760/770.
